Patient Feedback
The team at Winyates Health Centre highly value patient feedback. Whether it’s praise for members of our team, or something hasn’t quite pleased you during your care, we’d really appreciate if you could leave us some feedback so that we know where to focus improvements. Please email us at hwicb.feedback.winyates@nhs.net
If you have a query regarding a medical matter, please call reception to leave a comment, or make an appointment to see the appropriate person.
Enhanced Access appointments.
For evenings and weekends.
GP practices are working together to provide Enhanced Access appointments to our patients. This means that your Enhanced Access appointment may be with a different GP, nurse or based in a different location or practice than you are used to, and some of these appointments may be by telephone only.
These appointments are pre-bookable by contacting the surgery during our opening times – when calling please ask for an Enhanced Access appointment and our receptionists will be able to help you.
Accessibility.
The Practice has 4 disabled parking bays for patient use.
The main doors to the Practice are automatic. Whilst the main entrance internal doors are usually open, there is a buzzer on them just in case they are closed. The buzzer goes through to reception who can come and open the doors if required.
Patient toilets are accessible with baby changing facilities.
An induction loop is available at reception for patients who are hard of hearing or deaf.
We have 3 rooms located upstairs. There is no lift - however, if a patient is unable to use stairs, the clinician will see them in a room downstairs. Please inform reception if this is the case.
We are a sensory friendly practice and we have a sensory friendly private waiting area which can be requested at any time.
When we are closed.
999
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
NHS 111.
111 is the NHS non-emergency number. It’s fast, easy and free. Call 111 when you need medical help fast but it’s not a 999 emergency.
You will speak to a highly trained adviser, supported by healthcare professionals. They will ask you a series of questions to assess your symptoms and immediately direct you to the best medical care for you.
NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Calls are free from landlines and mobile phones.
